Colonics hydrotherapy
Before and After
Your Colonic Hydrotherapy Session

Before your colonic, it's a good idea to eat and drink light meals. Raw fruit, freshly extracted juices, salads, and pureed soup are recommended. It's best not to eat a heavy meal before your colonic.

After your colonic, you'll feel incredible. You will feel lighter and enjoy a sense of well-being. Sometimes people describe their first colonic was a defining moment. That was the time they realized how important their body and health is to them, and they became determined to eat right and exercise.

Allow for at least 60 to 90 minutes for your colonic session. The actual procedure takes 45 minutes, but you may want to spend some time talking to clinician Angela Toplovich. She is available for questions, inquiries, or whatever else you might want to share.

As soon as your colonic is finished, you may resume your daily routine. Sometimes, the colonic may trigger several subsequent bowel movements for the next few hours, but there won't be any uncontrollable urgency or discomfort. You may feel light-headed or chilled after the colonic, but again it's all temporary and part of the cleansing process.

Will I be immediately  "regular" after my first colonic?

Sorry, it takes time to achieve regularity. The most frequent post-colonic experience is to have a slight delay in bowel movements. If your colon is weak and sluggish, you may not have a BM for several days after your colonic. This delay is not due to the colonic, but rather the weakness of the colon. It should be interpreted as an indication that your colon requires strengthening and healing. You may even experience diarrhea or loose bowel movements. This could be because of the extra water introduced into the colon or to the stirring up of toxic waste. If this happens, it is usually a short term experience. Keep coming back for a more colonics, until you're "regular" again.

colonics hydrotherapyAre colonics habit forming? Can you become dependent upon colonics? If you get too many colonics, will the colon stop functioning on its own?

The purpose of a colonics is to create a clean and healthy colon. We want you to heal your colon, not become dependent upon colonics. Actually, a colonic is intended to tone the colon muscle so that the colon doesn't perform sluggishly. Many people have sluggish colons. It may take days for a bowel movements to return after a good colonic. This is when people think they are becoming "dependent" on colonics.

One good colonic is worth 20 or so regular bowel movements, so it may take some time for fecal material to build up in the colon once again if one has a sluggish colon. When the colon is sluggish and BMs do not return for a few days after one colonic, it is an indication that extensive colon work is needed to remove the debris that the bowel has built up over the years. This build-up of fecal matter has decreased the muscular action in the colon. Once a series of colonics is completed, the colon will begin to function like Mother Nature intended.

Colonics give you a feeling of being lighter, cleaner and healthier with a sense of well-being. Cleansing and building programs offer preventative measures so that you can be in control of your health. Dietary changes may be necessary to ensure long lasting and vital health.
